IMPACTS OF COVID-19 ARE BIGGER THAN YOU THINK

The corona virus is now a global epidemic. Infection rates are rising everyday, numbers of people are being quarantined all over the world and there's been a huge number of death reports from the virus. Three months into 2020 and we already think 2019 wasn't all that awful right?

The disease on it's own is making countries panic but it's impacts are far worse for economies worldwide. All industries are affected, the Mining, Music, Manufacturing, Entertainment, Education industries you name them.

Artists can't travel to perform because they might get infected and also some countries like Italy are on lockdown. The NBA is reportedly suspending the season after a player tested positive for corona virus and that's not even half of it because even the Olympics might just be cancelled too!!! Tourism industries are going under because people can't travel anymore and the few that do can't make a hotel or a resort rich. Study abroad students can't go to school until this matter gets sorted. A recent tweet from Lebron James read, "Man we cancelling sporting events, school, office work, etc etc. What we really need to cancel is 2020!. Damn it’s been a rough 3 months. God bless and stay safe."

An update on SA's Corona Virus infections. 13 people are now quarantined after testing positive for the virus but the country has gone all out to contain the virus. Health Minister Zweli Mkhize said that the country has intensified screening at all ports of the country. "From where we sit, we are scanning the people inflight, from where the risk is coming from. Screening is happening at airports." He said.

In the UK, Queen Elizabeth II doesn't want to shake hands anymore. That's how bad things have become but i get it, from 54 cases to 373 cases on Tuesday in the United Kingdom, i would stop shaking hands too. The number of confirmed cases has now topped 119 000 across the globe with 4200 dead according to the most recent data.

A reminder to wash your hands thoroughly with soap, eat anything that boosts your immune system, wear a mask if you have to and even if it's your relative with signs of flu or the virus. Ruuuuun!!! Okay but after you call the hospital.
